		<description>I managed to miss this post. But once again very nice work Patrick. Just to share how I choose staff. We have various segments on our community site crazefm.com and I have divided it in few bits, like forum super mod and shoutbox super mod, so in a way the shoutbox is our biggest attraction where people chat while listening to the radio. So there we have moderators that are chosen based on how good they behave in the forums and my live radio shows. So when I feel someone is doing  good and is &quot;respectful&quot; towards others. I invite them aboard and then the  super mods keep suggesting anytime they find a jewel of a person. That is the reason that &quot;respect&quot; is  written all over the way mods talk and behave. If they don&#039;t i don&#039;t wait a second and ban them right away.. no reason given. I don&#039;t feel i need to justify myself when they know what they have done. One banned user was the reason for a major site split and hacked it down but site is even stronger than ever.</description>

I would have to say that my experience says yes, an environment can be that ideal. I know that mine are. But, it takes work. It takes strong leadership and dedication. The administrator creates the staff culture. If not watched and cared for, it can sink.

		<description>I have to wonder if any environment is ideal as you describe, but your methodology for selecting staff does seem suitable for large communities where it is difficult for the individual handling promotions to have a relationship with all of his or her staff members and thereby know their strengths and weaknesses.</description>
