Thanks for the comment, Mr. Greene. I'm glad that you enjoyed the post and I appreciate the kind words.

I think that everyone has their own way and that like minded people will gravitate toward whatever that way is.

As an aside, I recorded that entire session on video and I plan to post it online at some point. :)

Thanks,

Nice, very nice. When I first met you, it was in a Saturday session at Converge South in Greensboro, and the issue arose as to whether there should be some etiquette and code of conduct with respect to blogging. (It was the view of some that part of the appeal and beauty of blogging was its unstructured nature.)

I suspect that from a practical perspective, even if someone is reluctant to "adhere" to such standards or suggestions, in the long run, the folks who other folks enjoy being around, and who feel respected and valued by others, will draw the most positive feedback, just like in real life.

Thanks for participating in the process, or perhaps I should say "progress."

Great post. I like the approach. It breaks responding down into basic steps that help formulate any response, which is a key to managing heavy feedback load. I'm going to forward this to our community managers.

Responding to feedback can be tricky. You want to be sure you are conveying your message while maintaining that you hear what they are saying. Easier said than done.
